Guitar Hero: Aerosmith Doesn't Play Nice With Rock Band Guitar

It looks like Guitar Hero: Aerosmith did not rectify the incompatible guitar peripheral “issue.” Actually, it’s doubtful that Activision sees it as a problem. As popular, with fans and critics alike, as Rock Band is it still pales in comparison to the Guitar Hero series.

Over at Joystiq a loyal tipster let the gaming blog know that reports of the game’s support of all guitar peripherals is indeed false. Whe trying to play Aerosmith -- which was the first mistake – with the Rock Band guitar a message showed up saying: ”An unsupported guitar peripheral has been detected. Connect either a Guitar Hero guitar or Xbox 360 controller and press START to continue.”

Perhaps it’s just me but it really appears that Activision doesn’t like to play nice with other developers and publishers.
