It's The Tater Of The Lost Ark

Do your Darth Tater, Spider-Spud, and Optimash Prime versions of Mr. Potato Head need company? This year’s tie-in offering will come from one of this summer’s biggest offerings: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

That’s right, here comes the Tater of the Lost Ark. The Indiana Jones themed spud will include the trademark fedora and leather jacket, along with a whip, golden idol, and “Harrison Ford’s Very Own Cheeky Smirk ™” according to Gizmodo. More details about the toy are expected to come forward at the upcoming Toy Fair 2008, with a possible street date of May 1st.

I thought these specialty Mr. Potato Heads were pretty funny when they first came out, but I’m wondering if they haven’t worn out their welcome. Then again, seeing a specialty smile created for an Indiana Jones Potato Head is pretty entertaining. I don’t know that I’d pick one up, but I probably will point and laugh when I see them in stores.
