Leica, maker of fantastic lenses and snazzy retro-style point and shoots for the die hard photo fan, has just lost its collective mind. The company has announced the Pradovit D-1200 HD DLP projector. Wowzers! The new high-def projector has the specs to make it drool worthy for all but the ridiculously deep pocketed A/V junkies.
Weighing in at 7.5 pounds, the Pradovit D-1200 has a native resolution of 1,920 x 1,200, 1,400 ANSI lumens, a competent 2,500:1 contrast ratio and a VARIO-ELMARIT-P f/2.8-3.1/33-42 mm high-speed lens. Of course, this is Leica and they love their lenses. The usual array of HDMI, DVI, composite, S-Video, VGA and Ethernet ports will also be there for your plugging in happiness.
We have no clue what the price will be, but I’m going to assume the “if you have to ask” corollary of having enough money for the things you want. The Pradovit will hit the streets this November.
