Logitech Announces Force Feedback Racing Wheel For Wii
Logitech, that ultimate manufacturer and purveyor of gaming peripherals, has finally decided to bring their racing wheel prowess to the Wii. The Logitech Speed Force Wireless is a force feedback racing wheel with a 30 foot wireless range. Not too shabby, and I’m going to go out on a limb and say this will be a decent addition to your plastic toy collection – well, if you’re really into racing games.

The wheel is 10” in diameter and rotates 200 degrees, giving a decent feel of authentic driving. The gas and break run on analog controls. Right now only the upcoming Need For Speed Underground supports the force feedback wheel. But I’m just hoping that Mario Kart Wii is functional with it, even if force feedback isn’t implemented. It’d certainly be better than holding your hands up in front of you with a plastic shell.

"Logitech has been at the forefront of force feedback technology for more than a decade, and we're confident that our driving platform will be an indispensable part of the racing experience on Wii as more titles that support it become available,” said Ruben Mookerjee, Logitech’s director of product marketing for gaming.

Look for the Logitech Speed Force Wireless wheel to be available starting in November for $100.
