Rare Harry Potter Book Auctioned For Four Million
We reported a while ago about the rare J.K. Rowling volume, The Tales of Beedle the Bard, which was handwritten and set up for auction, with the proceeds going to The Children’s Voice Campaign, a charity created by Rowling to help institutionalized children. Well, the auction has occurred and the handwritten fairy tales from the world of Harry Potter have sold for $4 million (£1,950,000). The winner? Leading online bookseller Amazon.com.

While the rights to reproduce the book were not included with the auction, Amazon is running reviews of the book’s contents, as well as images showing off their prize possession. As of right now they have reviews up for three of the five stories penned by Rowling, which show off the author’s ability at crafting timeless stories as well as getting a little dark.

Curious about the holy grail of Harry Potter relics? Head over to www.amazon.com/beedlebard to read the reviews and see images of The Tales of Beedle the Bard.
