Wearable Electric Motorcycle Design From Yamaha
My last trip to the gas station had me looking at 87 octane just a few hundredths of a cent below $4, and premium gas was well above. It’s getting to the point that many people are seriously looking into alternative ways to get around, and not because we’re all becoming green freaks. No, we just can’t afford to keep going with the current cost of gas. But how far would you be willing to go? Would you be able to wear the vehicle you’re driving?

The Yamaha Deus Ex Machina was created by transportation design student Jake Loniak. The motorcycle is a single passenger wearable motorcycle. As in you don’t get in but put it on. That’s a cool concept, but things get scary soon after. The bike would theoretically – it’s not coming to market – be controlled by 36 pneumatic muscles and 2 linear actuators. The Deus Ex Machina could go from 0-60 in 3 seconds.

It’s not official, but I’d recommend wearing adult diapers when you buy one so you don’t crap yourself as you zoom along at 50mph with the pavement right there.
