Whirlpool Entertains With Centralpark Connection

I’m a cook and my wife is a baker. However, the main difference between our cooking styles is her desire to watch television in the kitchen as she works. For this reason, Whirlpool may just be her best friend. The appliance maker has a new product, which they’re calling a centralpark Connection, that will be a major part of their new line of refrigerators. The idea is to remove the unwanted electronic clutter from countertops and place them where they belong, in your refrigerator door.

The system allows you to power and run matching devices such as satellite radio, DVD/CD player, digital picture frames, and much more. The plug-and-play feature means you don’t have to permanently install any of the devices, a minor issue with other refrigerators. With the new system you can easily plug in a compatible DVD player and use it, then when you’re ready to clean the kitchen you can switch out for your iPod and listen to music. Everything you need is right in the door; in addition you can charge a cell phone or MP3 player using centralpark.

President of Whirlpool North America, David Swift, said in a statement. The centralpark port is an innovative idea that will be most welcome in the multi-functional kitchens of modern homes.
