LG Bringing Netflix To Its Blu-ray Player This September
Netflix has flung themselves full on in the streaming movie business. They recently announced a partnership with Microsoft to bring the service to Xbox LIVE customers this fall. Now the LG BD300, with Netflix streaming capability, is an announced reality. This is the third partnership for Netflix on set top boxes.

The BD300 will retail for under $500 and works like your average Blu-ray player. But it also has the ability of the Roku, without the extra bulk of more boxes. Essentially you have both devices in one convenient location. The player will allow Netflix subscribers to get over 12,000 movies and TV episodes for no extra charge.

"As Blu-ray player sales are expected to triple in three years, consumers are craving content and seeking a premium home entertainment experience," said LG Electronics USA President Teddy Hwang in a statement today. "The BD300 is another LG industry first and provides consumers with an advanced high-def disc player with unparalleled flexibility and networked access for services such as Netflix."
