Anna Paquin Joins CBS Hallmark Film

When I think Anna Paquin, I think that sweet little girl from The Piano, and of course, who wouldn’t think of Rogue from X-Men? Since I don’t have HBO, I had no idea she is currently on one of their shows, True Blood. It seems she has always had a pretty diverse career, and she isn’t changing that any time soon. Hollywood Reporter says she’s on board with a new CBS Hallmark Film about a “a Polish woman credited with saving the lives of thousands of Jewish children during World War II.”
Irene Sendler died just a few months ago, and when better to honor her with a Hallmark Film, but after she’s already gone. You know, CBS, people like to see these kinds of things from this side of the grave. Not to imply that Mrs. Sendler was a proud woman – I’m sure she was quite the opposite. But, this world would do much better to tell the people we appreciate, that we appreciate them while they are still here. Anyway, the film will be titled, The Irene Sandler Story, and it will surely be a tearjerker. It should be airing sometime in April 2009. RELATED: hallmark, CBS, anna paquin
