It’s been a couple of years since Michael J. Fox has appeared in a small-screen role. Now it looks like the guy known for roles that involved going back in time, turning into a werewolf and a money-loving republican kid named Alex P. Keaton, is in talks for not one but two guest appearances on two TV series! If all goes well, we could be seeing Fox return to Scrubs as well as appearing in a few episodes of Rescue Me.
Entertainment Weekly’s Ausiello broke the news about Rescue Me, saying that Fox is currently in talks to do a multi-episode arc in the series, playing a love interest for Janet, Tommy Gavin’s ex-wife. Ausiello’s source says the deal isn’t set in stone yet but how cool would it be if does happen? I’m not sure I can picture Fox in a gritty show like Rescue Me but if the deal does go through, it’ll be very interesting to see what he does with the role. Janet hasn’t had a romantic relationship that hasn’t gone up in flames (get it? Flames… Sorry.) so it should be fun to watch this arc play out, if it happens.
Not to be outdone by her TV-gossiping frienemy, E! Online’s Kristin Dos Santos added to the Fox news by stating that there’s a possibility Fox will be re-appearing in Scrubs. The last time Fox appeared in Scrubs, he played Dr. Kevin Casey for a couple of episodes. According to Dos Santos, Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence (who also co-created Spin City), is trying to lure Fox back to the show.
