Well hello, Jack. On last night’s episode of My Boys, we were finally introduced to Bobby’s older brother, Jack, who is completely adorable and completely into PJ. But let me back track to the beginning…
It’s bachelor party time and anyone who knows Bobby knows he’s a great guy, no but. So there weren’t any strippers or debauchery, just a good dinner and drinks with his friends. His guy friends, no girls allowed: Per Mike this was an all dude evening. But don’t feel too bad for PJ because she got to go to Elsa’s shower! So much more fun. I mean, really, you could either drink and chat with some friends or celebrate cookware. No contest. She is able to convince Stephanie to leave (she was loving being fawned over by her adoring fans) and they go to check out a new bar around the corner.
Meanwhile, at the bachelor party, Kenny aka the “King of Bachelor Parties,” brings all the typical things you would bring to toast the end of a friend’s bachelorhood. Too bad Bobby is so excited about getting married and none of the usual things apply. So the one thing the “King” does bring and actually use is cigars. But the restaurant is non-smoking and the entire party is kicked out onto the streets. Where to go? Such a dilemma. But, of course, some one offers the suggestion of this new bar right around the corner.
Is it me or is everything just around the corner in Chicago?
Big surprise when the boys walk in and see PJ and Stephanie. Everyone’s excited except for Mike who has sworn off women because he seems to be annoying them lately and they don’t want to be around him so he doesn’t want to be around them. I know. The guys sort of break up and a few groups start forming. There’s Brendan and John, Bobby’s friend, who is opening a bar that Brendan used to DJ at but has no idea of how to run a club. Does anyone else see a new manager position coming on for Brendan…woohoo!
Then we have Andy and Jo, who called him after her date turned sour. This pairing caused PJ to confront Andy. He assured her he would never cheat on Meredith but he was such and arrogant douche. My faith is breaking that he is a good guy. A little tear just formed because instead of being funny, this argument was actually a little sad and disappointing. He ended up leaving with Jo and PJ went back to Bobby, who she just confessed she had feelings for when she invited him to Italy.
With all of the Andy drama, there wasn’t too much closure on their could-have-been relationship. Bobby was shocked and there was a lingering look when he left PJ at the bar to go home. Such a triangle. So PJ is about to leave and up walks Jack. There was a lot of flirting when the two first met earlier in the show but nothing prepared me for what ended the episode. Jack leaned in and kissed PJ who totally kissed him back. Seriously. All I can say is well hello, Jack.

Now My Boys is getting to be more interesting with the Andy & Jo triangle going. Love Jim Gaffigan, however his character Andy has become your typical arrogant douchebag high powered attorney. Andy doesn't even or ever cared about his pregnant wife Meredith or his daughter Savannah.
Remember last season, Andy got wasted when his wife was out of town for a week with her sisters. I believe that episode revealed that Andy had a cocaine/alcohol problem. Andy seems that he doesn't want to take responsiblity about his own actions and behavior. Thank God PJ and Meredith are watching him. However, sometimes I think PJ encourages Andy's immature, frat boy mentality.
It is so ironic that in this episode, Bobby is so excited about marriage and on the other hand Andy is on the brink of infidelity with his colleague Jo. Jo reminds of a high powered career woman who doesn't seem to care about his relationship only her career. So she needs to steal a married man.
I loved the ending!! haha... I'm curious to see how PJ's revelation affects Bobby's upcoming wedding. It was funny watching him repeat "What?!" several times. lol.
Btw, does anyone have an idea on who plays Jack Newman? I've been looking for the actor's name & it isn't on IMDb or TV.com
