Boss Preview: Episode 2 - Reflex

Last Friday night, Starz premiered the first episode of their new drama series Boss, which brings Kelsey Grammer back to television in a starring role. For those of you looking forward to the next new episode, we have a preview video and a description for “Reflex” to show you.

Boss stars Grammer as the mayor of Chicago, and a man who recently learned he has a brain disorder that’s going to begin to mess with his thought process and behavior. As he’s used to being in control, he decides not to tell anyone, including his family or closest advisors, of his condition.

Entertainment Weekly reported that the series premiere got off to a decent start, earning 1.7 million viewers. The site notes that that’s down somewhat from Spartacus: Gods of the Arena’s numbers (2.8 million viewers for its season premiere) and Torchwood: Miracle Day (2 million viewers), however, to be fair, both of those shows already had fans going into their premieres, whereas Boss is starting out as a completely new show. Spartacus: Blood and Sand took in less than a million viewers for its series premiere, so by that comparison, Boss’ numbers aren’t looking so bad. Hopefully things will improve for the series as the first season progresses. In the meantime, here’s what we have on Episode 2:

In the all-new episode episode entitled ‘Reflex,’ a new political force enters the race with only a few weeks until the primary. When the City Council stands in Kane's way, Kane and his crew will have to flex their political muscles to stay on top. Meanwhile, Meredith gets some unsettling news that adds to her growing suspicions that her husband's keeping something from her.

Boss airs Fridays at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on Starz.
