Eliza Dushku Is She-Hulk For Marvel's Hulk And The Agents Of S.M.A.S.H.

In the ongoing war between Marvel and DC for comic book supremacy, when one super power releases a new piece of promotional material, it is usually met with an equally interesting tidbit from the other camp. For example, if DC were to release the first teaser for Beware the Batman, the new animated series featuring the caped crusader, Marvel might retort with news that one of Joss Whedon's leading ladies is voicing the She-Hulk for Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.. Let's just put it this way, don't mention Dollhouse around Marvel's animation studios because you might make Eliza Dushku angry and you wouldn't like Eliza Dushku when she's angry.

Yes, the star of Whedon's short lived spy drama will be voicing the She-Hulk in Marvel's animated Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.. Dushku's casting in the highly anticipated series is especially timely because of her connection with Joss Whedon, the director of Marvel's The Avengers, what is likely to be the blockbuster of the summer, even with competition like The Hunger Games and The Dark Knight Rises. Adrian Pasdar revealed Dushku's casting in an interview with IGN when discussing his recurring role as the voice of Iron Man on the new animated Ultimate Spider-Man series. Pasdar is certainly no stranger to superheroes, starring in NBC's Heroes and voicing Tony Stark for a few animated projects (not to mention stints as Hawkeye and Captain America). He began working as Iron Man for the Marvel Anime: Iron Man series and in the interview mentions how Mr. Stark will be guest starring on Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. which is, of course, how he is also aware of Eliza Dushku's casting as She-Hulk.

The slip came when Pasdar began musing about the difference between their appearance on-screen and off, "If people were to actually visit these animation rooms and see the guys and the girls that are doing it, with the exception of Eliza, who's a stunning beauty, the rest of us, we don't look quite as good as the animation characters they draw for us." And jumping right on the name-drop, the interview continues with the actor mentioning how he's been doing voice-work with Dushku on Hulk a few days and that, "she does She-Hulk." Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. has no premiere date as of yet but with Paul Dini the driving creative force bring the project, I have high hopes for the series set to feature Hulk, Red Hulk, She-Hulk, Skaar and A-Bomb (among some other superhero cameos, obviously). And, a final note on Dushku's involvement, according to the article, Marvel TV head Jeff Leob said at New York Comic-Con that "She-Hulk has some of the best lines in the show." She'll likely also have the best curves. SHE-HULK SMASH!
