The Killing Season 3 Trailer Teases A Dark New Case

The Killing returns in less than a month. Along with a creepy new poster and a first look photo of stars Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman, we get this great new TV spot, which does a fine job of laying out the basic plot of Season 3, which will focus on a new case and from the sound of it, multiple killings.

With Rosie Larsen's case closed, the third season will have Kinneman's Stephen Holder working on a new case, which leads him to Enos' Sarah Linden when he believes the murders may be linked to a case she was once involved with. From the teaser, it looks like a "working girl" was found dead and mostly decapitated. And she's one of more than a dozen bodies connected to this killer. Will Linden be able to help Holder get to the bottom of this case? We'll find out when The Killing returns for Season 3 on June 2 on AMC.

The Killing's return wasn't guaranteed. In fact, the series was cancelled last year after its second season. But then it was un-cancelled and renewed for a third season. We'll have to wait and see how the new season does now that it's starting with a new case, which will hopefully give new viewers an opportunity to get on board with the series. In the meantime, for those who want to get caught up before Season 3 gets going, the first two seasons are available to watch streaming on Netflix.
