Watch Liam Neeson Arm Wrestle Jimmy Fallon On The Tonight Show

Anyone who has ever seen The Grey or Taken or any number of Liam Neeson action films knows the star is pretty much a badass, but Jimmy Fallon showed a little confidence this week when he challenged Liam Neeson to an arm wrestling competition on The Tonight Show. Check it out, below.

Fallon is usually pretty goofy and enthusiastic around A-list celebrities (or any celebrities, really) so it’s super amusing to see him pull out his old Saturday Night Live skills and watch him play a person who feels he could totally take on Liam Neeson. Apparently, Fallon has been working out lately, giving him enough confidence to challenge Neeson to an actual arm wrestle, noting:

“You’re known for playing intense characters; you’re obviously a very intimidating dude, but you know what, I bet I could take you in an arm wrestle.”

Before they get started, Neeson says something to Fallon that the cameras don’t pick up. I not-so-secretly hope it was a taunt, something along the lines of “I will find you, and I will kill you.” Seriously, look at how intensely the two men are going at it.

Just to amp things up a bit during the sketch, the two men toss barbs at one another, noting all of the things they are going to do when they win the competition. Neeson gets in a great line about throwing Fallon a creepy surprise party filled with Fallon look-alikes. There’s also some great Papa John’s and Where’s Waldo jokes. During these verbal bouts, Neeson uses the element of surprise to totally take out Jimmy Fallon and win the challenge. Sorry Fallon, but did you really think you could take on Liam Neeson? Really? Really?

Neeson’s busy promoting his upcoming movie Taken 3, so it’s no surprise that he would be doing the rounds to promote the new movie, just as it’s no surprise that Fallon would take advantage of the guest appearance to put together a fun viral video. The Tonight Show’s actually been on kind of a roll this week. Earlier this week, Bradley Cooper popped on to promote American Sniper, and ended up sharing his epic air guitar skills with audiences.

Lena Dunham and J.K. Simmons are both supposed to pop up tonight and Ghostface Killah and Don Cheadle are signed on for The Tonight Show tomorrow. So, if you’d like to catch up with The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon you can tune in to NBC weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET.
