Jason Momoa Still Can't Get Enough Of Dany's Power Trip On Game Of Thrones

Spoilers ahead for the most recent episode of Game of Thrones.

There’s few things as devastating for an actor as being killed off of their TV series. This is made even worse when the show is massively successful, like HBO’s Game of Thrones and AMC’s The Walking Dead. Unfortunately, violent shows like this are constantly killing off characters, so most of the cast will experience this at one point or another. While killed off actors can sometimes be resentful, Game of ThronesJason Momoa is quite the opposite. Though his character Khal Drogo was killed off back in Season 1, he’s continued to be a fan of the show and a cheerleader for his on screen wife, Emilia Clarke’s Daenerys Targaryen.

The most recent episode of Game of Thrones saw Dany making a passionate speech to the Dothraki while atop Drogon. Afterward, Jason Momoa posted an amazing response to the scene on instagram, check it out.

While Khal Drogo might have bitten the dust years ago, his love for the mother of dragons seems to be unaffected.

Jason Momoa’s post seems to make a great deal of sense, for a few reasons. Momoa has presumably always been a fan of the Game of Thrones and has watched through the years, but this season is different. For the first time in seasons, the Dothraki have one again taken center stage. After being out of power for a quick episode or two, Daenerys has successfully killed the Khals and taken power over the thousands of Dothraki riders from the Dothraki Sea. While Khaleesi’s troops were running a bit low during her time at Meereen, she now has another army of soldiers, and will presumably move closer to sailing to Westeros.

Jason Momoa also started his post by thanking David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, the creators of Game of Thrones, for his small stint has Khal Drogo. While Mamoa only appeared in 10 episodes total, his influence has never left Dany’s storyline. She’s continued to reference Drogo, wear her wedding ring and riding pants, and often speaks Dothraki. Drogo helped transform her from a scared girl to a powerful young woman and cunning strategist. While we last saw Drogo during a vision in Season 2’s “Valar Morghulis”, we can hope that he’ll return eventually, perhaps by Bran’s newfound powers as the 3-eyed raven.

What should be interesting moving forward is how the wild Dothraki fit into Daenarys’ plan for conquest. Dany prides herself on her morality, but the Dothraki are almost animalistic when they battle and sack cities; they destroy, pillage, and rape freely. Will their dedication to the Mother of Dragons successfully tame the Blood Riders, or will they be yet another challenge for her?

Game of Thrones airs Sundays on HBO. Make sure to follow Jason Momoa on instagram to see what other hilarious Game-related posts he puts onto the internet.
