Fuller House Season 2 Is Going To Premiere Earlier Than Expected, Get The Details

Fuller House didn't get the greatest reviews when it kicked off, but reportedly a lot of Netflix users watched the family-friendly comedy, which prompted the subscription streaming service to give the show a second season. We've been waiting months and months for those new episodes to hit the schedule, and now Netflix has finally let us know when Fuller House will be returning for Season 2. It's actually earlier than expected, as well, as new episodes will be hitting the schedule before the end of 2016.

That's right, it looks as if Fuller House will be airing two seasons during 2016. The actual premiere date for Fuller House Season 2 will be December 9 at 12:01 p.m. PT. Note that's Pacific Standard Time and note Eastern Standard Time. Season 1 only hit the schedule on February 27, 2016, which means the new episodes are coming only 10 months later. Bob Boyett and Jeff Franklin serve as executive producers on the second season of the drama.

Netflix also released some series information with the premiere date, but that information really doesn't reveal anything about what to expect from the upcoming episodes. Luckily, we do know that some cast members have been promoted to series regulars for the new episodes. We also know that other big characters, like Uncle Jesse, will be back in a guest starring capacity, with John Stamos set for three episodes in Season 2. Two original Full House characters will also be coming back, although they have unfortunately been recast. The show began filming just a few months ago, and now it looks as if the filming has wrapped up pretty quickly. Why not release them rather than leave them sitting around until next February?

Netflix has been working really hard over the past couple of years to expand its content lineup. This has included content as varied as sitcoms, animated comedies, dramas, dramas written in non-English languages, children's programming, movies and documentaries. The originals have added some new users in the States and have helped Netflix to expand globally. They've also helped to put Netflix on the map as a content creator, they've helped to attract new talent and have given Netflix a good reason to increase subscription prices. It wouldn't be surprised to see Netflix keep pushing up the dates of its originals as they are finished filming in the future.

We'll let you know as soon as Netflix releases the first trailer for Fuller House's second season on the air. For now, if you've been waiting for new episodes of Fuller House, we've put together a pretty nifty guide detailing what to expect from Season 2. In addition, you can also take a look at what Netflix has coming up with our Netflix premiere schedule.
