Not Safe With Nikki Glaser Cancelled, No Season 2 At Comedy Central

Comedy Central has had some real hits like Key & Peele and Drunk History in recent years, but the network seems to be having a tough time reclaiming the Jon Stewart sized hole in its late-night talk show lineup. They just can't seem to find a suitable replacement, and that statement holds true today. Comedy Central has decided to drop the axr on one of its newest talk shows and will be canceling Not Safe with Nikki Glaser.

According to Deadline, Comedy Central declined to renew Not Safe with Nikki Glaser for a second season. The sex-themed talk show began its run back in February with an initial order of 10 episodes. The lineup was soon extended with 10 more episode, bringing its 20 episode season to a close over the summer. While Comedy Central has ended the show, Deadline reports that the network will be exploring further opportunities to work with Glaser.

Not Safe with Nikki Glaser was a talk show centered around positive conversations and explorations into sex. Glaser and her guests would share personal stories about sex and other such taboo topics through sketches and one on one conversations. Some of Glaser's memorable bits including messing with guys on Tinder and hooking her parents up to a lie detector test and asking them about their sex life. Though the show would often take a comedic and light-hearted approach to most topics, it wasn't afraid to talk about serious subjects like sexual assault or silencing women. While the show may not have captured a big enough audience, Not Safe had a vision and voice in a genre that doesn't always have those traits.

Nikki Glasser is a comedian who has been featured on numerous shows on Comedy Central. She's a frequent panelist on @midnight with Chris Hardwick and she's appeared on Inside Amy Schumer,The Half Hour, The Burn with Jeff Ross, Adam Devine's House Party, and Comedy Underground with Dave Attell. She's also got a stand-up special on Comedy Central, so she probably won't be disappearing from the TV anytime soon.

Fans of Nikki Glaser might be disappointed, so here's a clip of her hooking her friends to a lie detector to see if they really want to have sex with her. Just remember the good times.

Not Safe with Nikki Glaser may be gone, but stick with CinemaBlend for any and all future updates.
