Two Big Crossovers Are Coming To Legends Of Tomorrow

By now we all know that The CW's DC shows love crossing over with each other. Along with the major crossover event that happened earlier this season, it looks like we'll be getting a couple of mini crossovers on Legends of Tomorrow in the latter half of the season. And, it sounds like at least one of those character crossovers will have us looking at a familiar character in a new way.

We, just yesterday, made an offer to an actor to reprise their role from one of the other shows in the season finale of Legends. Oh, and in the penultimate episode we're gonna have --- I can't be specific about this, but it's one of the most fun things I think we've ever done on the show --- a character from one of the other shows on Legends in a way that you've never seen before, you may never see again, but will, I think, just send fans into squeals of joy.

"Squeals of joy?" OK, I'm not sure what that means, but you can sign me up for that. Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim spoke to Entertainment Weekly on the magazine's SiriusXM radio show Superhero Insider, and revealed that the end of the Legends season is going to feature some pretty big appearances from a couple of characters that we know from some of the other shows in the DC on The CW universe. And, while it definitely sounds like we'll get to see two different characters crossing over on Legends, Guggenheim was very careful to leave us in the dark as to which show (or shows) those two characters will be from.

Alright, let's break down the possibilities here. The big crossover event this season, "Invasion!," merged most of the casts of Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow for a four night event, so, technically, any characters from those shows could appear on Legends at the end of the season. But, anyone who watches Supergirl or The Flash knows that getting to or from Supergirl's Earth is no easy feat, and it's one that usually requires Barry and Cisco from The Flash and their particular metahuman powers to make happen, so, that probably makes it unlikely that a Supergirl character will be a part of this crossover. Unless, of course, Legends uses an Earth-2 or Earth-3 version of one of those characters, which we actually haven't seen before and could account for a big surprise when he or she shows up. Wow, these possibilities are already getting kind of complicated, aren't they?

Well, barring all that tricky multiverse madness, I'd say it's more likely that someone from The Flash and/or Arrow will show up on Legends at season's end. That, of course, still leaves plenty of possibilities as to who these mystery guests could be. During the same interview, Marc Guggenheim also mentioned that fans can expect to see a very interesting crossover between The Flash and Arrow coming up soon, as well.

Next week's episode of Arrow features, I will say, the fastest crossover with Flash we've ever had.

Ah, see what he did there? That sure sounds like some speedster humor to me. I'd love it if the next episode of Arrow just features Barry speeding through a scene to drop off a file to Felicity and we never even see his face or hear him speak. That, I think, would be perfect. You can check out the big Legends of Tomorrow crossovers when the show airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EST on The CW. Arrow can be seen Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EST.
