Despite the fact that it’s entering into its third season, to many of you, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia might as well be a brand new show. While it doesn’t enjoy the high profile of FX’s other original series’ such as Rescue Me and The Shield, those who watch it are generally obsessed.
The famously low-budget comedy (the pilot reportedly cost less than $100 to produce) follows the misadventures of four self-absorbed friends who run an Irish bar in Philadelphia. The fact that this is a cable show allows them to poke fun at all manner of incendiary issues, like gay rights, racism, sexism and abortion in the most politically-incorrect way possible.
With lines like, “I’m a recovering crackhead. This is my retarded sister. I’d like some welfare, please” Philadelphia is clearly not meant for the easily offended. Luckily, I’m not. I’ve caught the promos for the third season, and when a commercial makes you back up the DVR so you don’t miss it, you know you’ve probably got something good.
Like many people, I’ve only been kind of aware of this show, but based on what I’ve seen so far (no laugh track!) and this hilarious NSFW video, I’ll definitely be tuning in.

this is by far the funniest show on tv. i love 30 rock and the office but they don't hold a candle to iasip. everyone should watch it except for anyone who can't handle offensive humor. don't even bother watching. there's a re-run of raymond on tbs for you.
