2008 Holiday Gift Idea: The Bro Code Thanksgiving’s over and since you might be trying to come up with some great ideas of holiday gifts, what with Hanukah and Christmas quickly approaching, we thought we’d help you out with some TV-themed gift ideas for the holiday season. Know any How I Met Your Mother fans? Or how about a “bro” looking to brush up on the “the code”?

The Gift:
“The Bro Code” by Barney Stinson

In this book, HIMYM character Barney Stinson lays out the rules of the sacred code of Bros. This is the holy grail of the Bro Code people, so naturally it should be written by a man who lives and would probably die by this code, if the circumstances called for it. The book description says this guide will help men figure out how to handle certain “profound dilemmas” like “What happens if I accidentally brush against another Bro’s junk?” or “How many pizzas should I order?”

Who to get it for:
Bros, of course! Also, anyone else who is a fan of this series. I’m a 30-year-old married woman who happens to love How I Met Your Mother and I have to say, I wouldn’t mind finding this book in my stocking this year.

The paperback version would fit perfectly atop the stack of Maxim magazines piled up on the back of any bachelor’s toilet but as the audio version is read by Barney Stinson (Neil Patrick Harris), that might make for an even better gift for that special bro in your life.

Cost:
The paperback copy will cost you a mere $12.98 at CBS’s website. The audio book costs $19.98.

Additional gifts: The “World’s Greatest NOT a Dad!” coffee mug. For the guy who loves to celebrate his non-fatherhood.
