I almost hate to admit it but I still love the MTV Movie Awards. I guess I always figured when I grew up I wouldnít watch this award ceremony anymore. Well, Iím 30 years old and I still watch it every year. Maybe itís because the event celebrates a lot of actors and movies that arenít acknowledged at the Golden Globes, Oscars and other film related awards ceremonies.

In addition to more relaxed categories, this ceremony also has a much more laid back atmosphere. The speeches are usually kept light and everyone always seems to be having a really good time. So while itís not nearly as elegant or formal as the Oscars, the event is always entertaining plus once in a while something unpredictable happens. And this year, the lovable Mike Meyers is hosting, so thatís just one more reason to tune in.
