2008 Summer TV Preview: The Mole

The Mole - Season 5 Premieres: Monday, June 2, 2008 at 10:00 p.m. EST Network: ABC Creator(s): Stone Stanley Entertainment Starring:Jon Kelley (Host) Website: abc.com  The Mole is a reality show that follows 12 contestants, one of which is “The Mole.” The players have to try to figure out which one of them is the Mole and learn as much as they can about them. At the end of each episode whoever knows the least about the Mole is eliminated. The Mole’s job is to try to sabotage everyone else’s game. When it gets down to three contestants, the Mole is revealed to the final two one of them wins a “substantial cash prize."  I never watched The Mole when it used to air a few years ago but I’ve heard good things about it. Plus, I’m intrigued by the age range of the contestants, which based on what ABC has on their Mole website, includes contestants in their 20’s, 30’s, one in their 40’s and a contestant that’s 60-years-old. And the premise sounds like it could be entertaining, especially if the contestants are good at strategizing. So while I don’t have much more to go on than the promo and the things I’ve heard about the series, I do think it sounds interesting enough to check out the first couple of episodes to see if it’s any good.
