2009 Midseason TV Preview: 13: Fear Is Real 13: Fear Is Real - Series Premiere

Premieres: Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 8:00 PM ET
Network: CW
Creator(s): Jay Bienstock, Sam Raimi, Robert Tapert
Starring: Scared People
Website: CW.com

13: Fear Is Real takes your favorite horror movie moments and puts real people in those situations. At least that’s what the producers want you to think. If that’s true, this show should be amazing. Especially if the thirteen contestants are chased by mad men with axes, or chased through a maze by a mad man with an axe. Oh my.

Each week the contestants will face their fears in horrifying, and psychologically twisted ways, with the moments coming from the minds of those who have terrified audiences for years. I know for a fact that if there were a week with a zombie invasion I’d be King Triton, beheading zombies and hiding out in my bunker. Contestants are “killed off” weekly until only one is left standing to claim the grand prize of $66,666.
