2012 Summer Olympics: NBC's Coverage And Friday's Opening Ceremony In London

The games are nearly upon us! Come about this time tomorrow night, the 2012 Summer Olympics will begin in London, starting with the opening ceremony. NBC is gearing up for their coverage of the event, which includes the broadcast of tomorrow night's opening ceremony. Get the information on that ahead, and see how you can follow the Team USA athletes on Twitter!

Thinking back to the excellent opening ceremony in Beijing back in 2008, it's going to be very exciting to see what London has in store for us as the Summer Olympics get started. Included in NBC's coverage of the Olympics will be the opening ceremony tomorrow night, and for the first time ever, all 32 sports and 302 events will be available to watch streaming live at NBCOlympics.com. So those of us who aren't glued to our TV's watching the various events can glue themselves to their computers to get their fill of competitive sports.

On the subject of the Olympics, and specifically, the opening ceremony, NBC has a pretty excellent slide-show of past opening ceremonies throughout the decades. Check that out here.

And here's NBC's Olympics Twitter account (@NBCOlympics). NBC also posted this video featuring various Team USA athletes talking about their Twitter activity (and sharing their Twitter handles).

Or you can get the full list of Twitter handles here.

The Olympics Opening Ceremony will air on Friday, July 27th at 7:30PM EST on NBC.
