Canterbury’s Law centers on Elizabeth Canterbury (Margulies), an attorney who takes on unpopular cases and occasionally steps outside the law to protect wrongfully accused clients. Her work has a tendency to get in the way of her personal life. Her relationship with her husband Matt (Quinn) is already strained enough as it is. Both Elizabeth and her husband have been trying to deal with getting over the disappearance of their young son. Unfortunately for Elizabeth, her work as a lawyer only tends to serve as a reminder of what’s she’s lost.

Another legal drama? Great. Normally this show probably wouldn’t even be on my radar but I love Julianna Margulies so I’ll be tuning in to see if the pilot’s any good. The premise of the show doesn’t sound very original but the characters could be interesting and as with any legal drama, if the stand-alone plots are well written, the series could be great. Who knows? This should could be the next House (in legal form). Ok, maybe that’s a stretch but who can predict these things anyway?
