If you heard that MTV is going to be premiering a movie called Pedro next month, chances are, you already know who the film is based on. In MTV’s world, there really is only one Pedro. I am of course referring to the Pedro who starred in season 3 of The Real World. On April 1st MTV will be premiering a movie based on Pedro Zamora’s remarkable life.
In case you weren’t watching The Real World back in its earlier seasons, Pedro Zamora was a person living with AIDS. He has since passed away but his memory lives on and will continue to do so with this film, which is told through the eyes of his friends and family. Below is the trailer for the film. It’s a bit weird seeing actors play the cast of The Real World and I’m guessing MTV’s going for the majorly emotional vibe for this movie but still, it could be worth checking out.
Pedro premieres on MTV on April 1st at 8:00 PM ET/PT.
