Fine, you guys at the Academy want to all but ignore The Dark Knight? Those Emmy dudes just can’t seem to wrap their heads around the fact Michael Hogan deserves at least a nomination for his role as Col Tigh on Battlestar Galactica? It’s OK because the Saturn Awards are here to rectify the situation. The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy And Horror Films has announced its nominees for this year. ABC, which you may remember was pointed out as a “chick network” to me, leads the networks with 13 nominations.

Below you’ll find the complete list of nominees from the field of Television. Immediately I notice that two great new shows have been given their appropriate due: both Life on Mars and Leverage have been nominated for best TV series. But still Michael Hogan goes unrecognized. Noah Wylie in The Librarian? Really people. I know that Tigh’s story hasn’t been as heavy as past seasons, but on a bad day that guy deserves a nod. Not that it matters because Bryan Cranston had better take home the award for Breaking Bad.

Again the TV list is below. For a complete list of nominations in film for the 35th Annual Saturn Awards click over here. The awards will be presented on June 25th in a location yet to be decided.
