Celebrate Ash Wednesday The Bruce Campbell Way: The Fall Of Sam Axe Airs Next Month

Cinema Blend is celebrating Ash Wednesday the Bruce Campbell way today, which is why it seemed like a good idea to remind those of you who can’t get enough Campbell that in just over a month, Burn Notice: The Fall of Sam Axe will premiere on USA.

The Fall of Sam Axe is set to follow Burn Notice character Sam Axe (Bruce Campbell) back when he was a Lieutenant Commander in the military. Shot on location on Bogota, Columbia, the two-hour movie takes place in 2005 and focuses on Sam as he’s sent on a mission to advise a local military platoon and ends up uncovering information that causes him think he may be allied with the wrong side. Glimpses of the prequel film have been slim so far but yesterday, TV Guide ran an article on it which includes a photo of Sam in a military vehicle. It doesn’t give much away but it’s still worth checking out.

Burn Notice: The Fall of Sam Axe will air on USA on Sunday, April 17th at 9/8c.

And, since we’re celebrating Bruce Campbell’s awesomeness today, here’s an old Burn Notice promo that features plenty of Sam Axe:
