September is upon us, and with it comes the return of our favorite TV shows, as well as the premieres of many of the new series on deck to debut on network and cable TV. From the early starters, including Boardwalk Empire, Sons of Anarchy and The Legend of Korra, to the October arrivals, including Grimm, American Horror Story: Coven and The Walking Dead and everything in between, we have plenty to look forward to this fall!
The CW has made a few shifts in its Fall 2013 premiere schedule, one of which affects The Vampire Diaries spinoff The Originals. It looks like the network has opted to shift the spinoff's premiere date to temporarily pair it with The Vampire Diaries, which will likely give The Originals the benefit of a TVD lead-in and some added support before it moves over to Tuesday nights for its regularly scheduled night.
ABC fell a couple of weeks behind the other major networks in getting us the their Fall 2013 premiere schedule, but with months to go, that's kind of ok. All the same, it's exciting to get to see when the network's new and returning series will debut this fall. For ABC, that includes the highly anticipated Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and new 80s-set comedy The Goldbergs, which looks like it could be a winner.
Fox is the fourth of the five major networks to announce their Fall 2013 premiere schedule, and for the network that recently brought us American Idol, there's a lot of X Factor on the menu. Fortunately for those who aren't looking for more singing, there are some returning dramas and comedies, and some promising looking new programs joining the lineup later in September.
The CW has announced their fall premiere schedule, and - as we've seen in the past - they're starting their fall season in October, a couple of weeks after the bulk of the other network television series return and debut. Among the new series to get started at the CW are The Tomorrow People, Reign and Vampire Diaries spin-off The Originals.
Earlier this week, CBS showed us their Fall 2013 TV premiere schedule. Today, NBC has followed suit, laying out the premiere dates for their new and returning series this fall, including the return of The Voice, Grimm and Revolution, as well as new series Dracula, The Michael J. Fox Show, The Blacklist and Sean Saves the World
Ready for the fall? Yeah, me neither. The summer TV season is only just getting started but CBS is already getting their ducks in a row for the Fall and those who want to plan ahead can get a look at what the Eye has in store for their viewers come September.
