Netflix is the dominant subscription video on-demand service (SVOD). This may be of no surprise, but apparently viewers are watching way more of it that we’ve ever thought. What happens after Netflix gathers up a base of 10, 20, 30 or more original series to match their huge library of licensed product?
Amazon Prime subscribers will eventually be enjoying even more great TV content through the site's streaming video service. Amazon announced today that they've secured a multi-year video licensing agreement with Viacom, which will add a selection of TV shows available exclusively through Prime Instant Video.

The problems continue for Netflix as the company faces major backlash from angry subscribers over their sudden rate hike, and a quick response from the competition. Blockbuster Total Access is offering disgruntled Netflix subscribers a deal to jump ship and many are prepared to do just that. The rate increase may an been inevitable, but so might be the demise of Netflix.
Much like Netflix Streaming, Hulu Plus is a subscription service that offers a number of TV series and movies for viewers to watch streaming online. I don’t like watching TV on my computer, which is why I haven't really considered Hulu Plus a good option for me. But today, TiVo announced that Hulu Plus is now available on TiVo, which means it may be time for me to check out the service through the free trial.
Hulu Plus may make you feel a bit nostalgic with some of the TV series they’ve added to their content. Among the Viacom shows that are now available to paying subscribers are The Real World Seasons 1 and 2, Beavis and Butthead and the first season of Road Rules.
Their research found that 88% of the full-length TV episodes available on Hulu Plus were also on the free site, and even the ones only available to paid subscribers
