ABC's Jackson Memorial Coverage Starts With Good Morning America

ABC’s coverage of the Michael Jackson Memorial Service is set to start up with Good Morning America and run with different specials along with the service as the day progresses.
Good Morning America will feature co-anchor Robin Roberts as she leads the coverage for both the East and West coast editions of the series. The morning show will include interviews with special guests, a preview of the ceremony and memories of Michael Jackson. Along with that, Roberts will announce updates on the developments as preparations continue at the Staples Center, where the service is set to take place. Coverage for the actual memorial service is set to begin at 1:00 p.m. ET/10:00 a.m. PT. Charles Gibson will anchor Remembering Michael Jackson from New York along with Nightline anchor Martin Bashir. Good Morning America's Robin Roberts, Nightline anchor Cynthia McFadden and Senior Law and Justice Correspondent Jim Avila will report from the Staples Center. Brian Rooney, Lisa Fletcher, Mike von Fremd and Ryan Owens will also contribute to the special coverage. Then tomorrow night at 9:00 p.m., Diane Sawyer and Barbara Walters will co-anchor a special edition of 20/20 where they’ll report on highlights from the memorial service as well as other news from the day. Finally, at 10:00 p.m. ET, Primetime: Family Secrets will report on Jackson’s children and what’s going on with the custody battle. The special will feature a rarely seen interview with Rowe from 2003. Because while tomorrow is all about remembering Jackson, ABC’s not above cashing in on some of the grittier dirt surrounding Jackson’s death.
