Breaking Bad just keeps getting better and better, and AMC recognizes that fact. The cable network has announced that the series is being picked up for a third season after only four episodes of season two. The critically acclaimed show about a dying chemistry teacher who uses his talents to make meth in order to accumulate enough cash to keep his wife and son secure after he passes has been slowly building up a strong fan base.

The season 2 premiere of Breaking Bad saw a 21% rise in viewership according to The Hollywood Reporter. With rising numbers, Emmy awards, and one of the best stories being told in all of television it was an easy decision for AMC to pick up another season. I’m just happy we’ll get more of the Vince Gilligan created series: more Breaking Bad is always great news.

Breaking Bad airs on AMC Sundays at 10:00pm ET
