Abdul Possibly Guest Starring On Ugly Betty

While Paula Abdul might be absent from the American Idol judges table come January, we certainly haven’t seen the last of her. Rumor has it, the dancer/singer/talent-judge is also going to be adding acting to her credits as she’s in talks to play a guest-starring role on ABC’s Ugly Betty.

Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello posted the news today, stating, “Details of Abdul’s role are being kept under wraps but an Ugly insider tells me that she’d be playing a new temp at Mode who bonds with Becki Newton’s Amanda.”

If Ausiello is correct, it sounds like Abdul will be doing some actual acting and not just showing up for an episode as herself. As there were plenty of people who were disappointed to learn that Abdul wouldn’t be returning to American Idol, I’m sure they’ll be eager to see what Abdul brings to Betty if this deal is made.
