Adam Levine's SNL Highlights Include YOLO Digital Short, Catfish And The Sopranos

Adam Levine put his talent to good use last night on Saturday Night Live, not by performing with his band Maroon 5, but by taking the stage to host the episode for the first time. Among the highlights of the episode, a spoof on The Sopranos, a Catfish sketch, some surprise celebrity guests during the opening monologue, and a digital short that turns "YOLO" into an anthem of paranoia.

The opening monologue had the tables turned for The Voice judge Adam Levine. This time around, he was the one in the spotlight and there were a few celebrity guests in the chairs…

Cameron Diaz, Andy Samberg and Jerry Seinfeld! Those are some pretty fantastic celebrity guests. And Samberg surprised us yet again by showing up later for the musical digital short, which featured the vocals of Levine and Kendrick Lamar, in addition to Lonely Island as they turn "You Only Live Once" into a phrase that means you need to be really, really careful.

The Voice wasn't the only show to be spoofed during last night's episode. Levine was also involved in two other TV-focused sketches, the first of which put a Carrie Diaries twist on The Sopranos, by imagining what the HBO series' CW prequel show might look like.

Catfish's Nev Schulman seemed to have a sense of humor about the parody. He tweeted this last night after the episode aired:
