TNT’s adding three new original series to its lineup. The network, which recently renewed the original comedy series Men of a Certain Age, gave the greenlight to three shows, one of which is the alien-invasion series from DreamWorks Television and Steven Spielberg and another that stars My Name Is Earl’s Jason Lee.

The Spielberg/Dreamworks alien-invasion show is set to star Noah Wyle (ER) and TNT hopes to have it on the air in 2011. Wyle will be playing the role of a leader of a group of soldiers and civilians who are struggling to survive against the occupying alien force. In addition to Wyle, the yet to be titled show will star Moon Bloodgood, Drew Roy, Jessy Schram and Seychelle Gabriel.

Delta Blues will star Earl’s Jason Lee and Three Rivers’ Alfre Woodard. TNT describes the series, which is being produced by George Clooney, Grant Heslov’s Smokehouse Pictures, and Warner Horizen Television, as an “offbeat series,” which follows Dwight Hendricks (Lee), a Memphis cop who lives with his mother and has an “intimate connection” with the city where he lives and works. In addition to Lee, Delta Blues stars Celia Weston, Sam Hennings, Robyn Lively, Leonard Earl Howze, Abraham Benrubi and DJ Qualls. The series should premiere sometime in 2010

Rizzoli & Isles stars Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander. It too should be premiering sometime this year. The show follows Jane Rizzoli (Harmon) a Boston detective who works to solve crimes alongside with Maura Isles (Alexander), a medical examiner. Also among the cast are Lorraine Bracco, Lea Thompson Young, Bruce McGill, Jordan Bridges and Billy Burke.
