American Idol Season 12 Audition Schedule Posted, Los Angeles Try-Outs Are This Week

While Season 11 of American Idol is likely to still be fresh in the minds of fans, having just wrapped up a couple of weeks ago, it's not too soon to start thinking about next season, or practicing for it. Fox released the audition schedule for Season 12 of American Idol. Check it out ahead to see if Idol is talent-scouting in a city near you!

Think you're the next Jessica Sanchez or Phillip Phillips? American Idol will be on the hunt for new contestants for Season 12 of the popular Fox singing competition, starting Thursday! That's not much time to plan if Los Angeles is your city, but according to Fox's released information, that's when the show will be starting off it's search for new contestants.

       Los Angeles, CA - Thursday, June 7 - Dodger Stadium
San Antonio, TX - Thursday, June 14 - Alamodome
Charlotte, NC - Tuesday, June 19 - Time Warner Cable Arena
Newark, NJ - Saturday, June 23 - Prudential Center
Chicago, IL - Thursday, July 12 - United Center
New Orleans, LA - Tuesday, July 17  - New Orleans Arena
Oklahoma City, OK - Friday, July 20 - Chesapeake Energy Arena

So, does this mean we'll know who's judging for Season 12? Last we heard, the fate of Jennifer Lopez sounded like it was up in the air, and Fox made no mention of which judges might be in attendance for the auditions. So it should be interesting to hear who's reported to be in attendance for these auditions as they begin to take place

WHO:  Men and women 15-28 years old as of June 5, 2012, who are eligible to work in the U.S. Some restrictions apply – please visit www.americanidol.com for specific information.

WHEN: Thursday, June 7

WHERE: Dodger Stadium

Los Angeles, CA 90012

HOW: Wristbands will be distributed from approximately 7:00 AM on Tuesday, June 5 until approximately 8:00 AM on Thursday, June 7. Auditioners will not be permitted to camp out. Once auditioners obtain their wristbands, they will be asked to return to Dodger Stadium by 5:00 AM on Thursday, June 7.
