Attention anyone looking for random former recurring Buffy characters on TV: Grey’s Anatomy’s Seattle Grace is about to be paid a visit by one of Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s arch nemesis(sseessss).

According to E!, Adam Busch is set to appear in an upcoming episode of Grey’s. (Spoiler warning!). Busch, who played the robot-making, Trio-leading, occasionally-murderous, inevitably-flayed Warren in Season 6 of BtVS will appear in Grey’s Anatomy on January 13th (“Start Me Up”), playing a first-year resident who is shadowing Cristina.

Busch isn’t the first Buffy alum to grace Grey’s with their presence. Seth Green once guested as a patient with an awesomely exploding artery and Amber Benson (whose Buffy character Tara met her demise when one of Warren’s stray bullets caught her in the back) appeared in the ABC medical drama back in November.

I loved the Trio. As far as Buffy villains go, they were hilarious and occasionally dangerously effective when they weren't fighting over the flawed Death Star design and Jonathan's magic bone. There really needs to be more Trio on TV. Danny Strong (Jonathan) appeared in Mad Men last season and is rumored to appear in How I Met Your Mother. Tom Lenk (Andrew) is set to appear in the upcoming film The Cabin in the Woods, which is penned by Buffy creator Joss Whedon. Now if only we can get the three actors together for a Trio reunion. I’m thinking The Big Bang Theory might be a good backdrop for that or perhaps an episode of Chuck.
