Archer Season 3 Will Hit Blu-ray And DVD In January

If you feel like Archer’s Season 3 wrapped up a long, long time ago, it did. Season 3’s finale aired at the end of March. That episode’s space theme was pretty memorable, but it’s not enough to have tided my over in the interim between new and old episodes. Luckily, the hit animated adult comedy series has finally announced its Season 3 Blu-ray and DVD release, but, in usual fashion, we’ll have a while to wait.

Archer: The Complete Season 3 will hit Blu-ray and DVD on January 8 in a set that will come with a ton of commentaries and extras for fans. Season 3 featured George Takei, a souped up car, a pet ocelot, murder, intrigue, and an episode devoted to one of Archer’s sexscapades gone wrong. The initial list of Blu-ray and DVD extras that Fox Home Entertainment put out are listed, below.

Archer Blu-ray and DVD Extras

  • Commentary on El Contador
  • Commentary on Drift Problem
  • Commentary on Lo Scandalo
  • Heart of Archness Extended Version
  • Gator 2 Trailer
  • Answering Machine Messages
  • Cooking with Archer

However, TV Shows on DVD is reporting Answering Machine messages will no longer be a part of the set. Instead, fans will be privy to “Book-on-Tape Fail” and a featurette from Comic-Con adeptly titled "Archer Season 3 at Comic-Con 2012." There will still be plenty of bonus features with the set, and I have a feeling the answering machine bit was not nearly as funny as it had the potential to be. No show can be spot-on 100% of the time.
