Arrested Development Hurwitz And Arnett Reunite For New Series

Arrested Development fans will be pleased to know that Fox is giving AD creator Mitch Hurwitz another shot at a single-camera comedy and what’s more, AD co-exec producer Jim Vallely and AD co-star Will Arnett are both on board.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the project received a script commitment and will be written by Hurwitz. THR states the premise as centering on a rich Beverly Hills jackass (Arnett) who falls in love with a charitable tree-hugging woman who can't stand his lifestyle or values.

While this will hopefully mean a new comedy with a similar style of quirky humor as Arrested Development, we can only hope that it’ll do a lot better than Hurwitz’s Fox animated comedy, Sit Down, Shut Up. And if this show does get picked up and it turns out to be as hilarious as Arrested Development was, let's hope Fox gives it a chance to catch on.
