Arrow Preview: Episode 17 - The Huntress Returns

Many people probably tuned in to watch their new favorite television superhero fight some crime in Starling City last night only to find that Arrow had actually taken the week off. And not to lower audience spirits even further but the series won't be back in its usual slot next Wednesday either, with the network scheduling a two-week hiatus after “Dead to Rights” for Arrow to recuperate.

Not really, but the ins-and-outs of network scheduling are probably far less interesting. Even though fans surely don't want any kind of break between installments, at least The CW seems to have produced an episode worth the wait. Why? Because Jessica De Gouw's “The Huntress Returns.” Here's the preview...

De Gouw as Helena/Huntress was first introduced to fans in "Muse of Fire" and "Vendetta" (episodes 7 and 8, respectively), where she quickly transitioned from an unknown adversary and mobster daughter into Ollie's lover, protege and eventually back to adversary. The circle of comic-book life. He return to Starling City seems to be more than just a quick sexual encounter with her former flame (although that seems to occur, poor McKenna) but also a spree of vigilantism. The bad kind.

Arrow returns with Episode 17, “The Huntress Returns,” on Wednesday, March 20 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
