Auditions For The Glee Project On Oxygen Start In December
If there’s one thing that websites like YouTube have taught us (besides the miraculous beauty of the double-rainbow and other time-wasting giggles), it’s that there’s plenty of untapped talent out there and Oxygen is teaming up with Glee’s casting director to find it.
The Glee Project is Oxygen's talent competition series, which is set to air in June 2011. It will feature talented young adults who can pass for teenagers as they compete to win a multi-episode role on Season 3 of Fox’s popular musical dramedy series Glee. I’m guessing there will also be people who think they’re talented and/or can pass for a teenager. Glee casting director Robert Ulrich and Casing Duo are involved in the project.
Here’s some of the information Oxygen released on the show.
“Oxygen is looking for talented young men and women with strong vocal, acting, dancing abilities and big personalities! Musical theater experience is a plus, but not required. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age (but able to convincingly portray the role of a teenager) and be legally eligible to work in the United States. Candidates must also be available to the production in or about January through April 2011 and be willing to travel as part of production.”
As for casting, the search will begin in Chicago on Saturday, December 18th. More information on the casting schedule and eligibility requirements can be found at TheGleeProject.Oxygen.Com.
