With all of the new and returning fall shows premiering over the last couple of weeks, I’ve found myself seriously craving new episodes of Battlestar Galactica. It’s like a Pavlovian response. Summer’s over, the weather is cooler, where’s my BSG?! Since the new season wont be premiering until next year, all we have to look forward to is next month’s premiere of special two-hour flashback episode, “Razor” and starting tonight, SciFi is going to be giving viewers a taste of what to come.
In case you haven’t been keeping up with news on the “Razor” episode of Battlestar Galactica, it will premiere on Saturday, November 24th at 9:00 p.m. on the Scifi channel. The story will jump back in time a bit to when Lee Adama first took command of Battlestar Pegasus. Adama’s XO, Major Kendra Shaw has to deal with the things she’s seen and was ordered to do back when Helena Cain was running the Pegasus.
According to Scifi’s website, “In the crucible of war, Shaw must let her hesitation and doubts burn away, until all that remains of her is the honed edge of a living human weapon — what Colonial veterans call "a razor." But an edge so fine cuts in more than one direction. It can cleave an enemy to pieces … or it can carve away a person's soul.”
Starting tonight (10/5), Scifi will be airing 2-minute “Razor” flashbacks during their broadcast of Flash Gordon. The flashback clips, which aren’t a part of the actual “Razor” episode, will focus on William Adama as a rookie on a Viper mission. What Adama discovers during the mission will play a factor in the story in “Razor.”
The flashbacks will be available on Scifi.com after Flash Gordon airs (Fridays, 9 p.m EST on Scifi).
