Being Human Season 3: A Look At I'm So Lonesome I Could Die
Seeing the preview for this Sunday's episode of Girls, it just occurred to me that the HBO comedy series and Syfy's Being Human both have episodes titled "It's a Shame About Ray" this season. For Being Human, it was the Season 3 premiere and a reference to Josh's maker. For this Sunday's Girls, Ray is Shoshanna's boyfriend (sort of?). And I'm thinking both titles are a nod to the Lemonheads, which would be unsurprising for Being Human, as the series' episode titles are often music-themed. It's still a weird coincidence, especially when noting that these episodes are airing within weeks of each other. What are the odds, right?
Moving on, next Monday's episode of Being Human, it looks like Aidan's falling off the wagon, and Sally may be the one to stop him.
Has Aidan eaten at all since he's been back? If not, can we blame him for taking a chance on a random guy? Sure, he's risking his life (or un-death), but he has to eat, right? What are his options?
On another note, I don't know if this is the popular opinion yet, but I'm not loving living-Sally. I don't know if it's the excess make-up, nicer clothing and added pep, but I miss ghost Sally already. Is it weird to admit that I like her better when she was a bit more sympathetic? Don't get me wrong, she looks amazing and it's not difficult to understand why she's happy to be alive again, but her life has already cost someone else his. I guess it's just a little hard to support her now when we look at what happened to Trent. She seems to be trying to avoid future deaths but I still cringe every time she leaves the house and increases the potential for a run-in with someone she once knew.
I'm predicting Sally's back to ghost-ville by the end of the season, and as much as I want the character to be happy, looking at how things are now, I don't think I'd complain if that were the case - especially if it meant preventing more people from dying (and having their spirits eaten by Donna).
Being Human airs Mondays at 9:00 p.m. ET on Syfy.
