Ben Shenkman Joins Burn Notice As Michael's Potential Savior

Burn Notice is still months and months away from returning. It’s far enough away that I don’t particularly want to think about it, instead I’m in So You Think You Can Dance anticipatory mode. That doesn’t mean USA isn’t already set to announce guest star casting. First up is Ben Shenkman who Grey’s Anatomy endurers will remember as the dude who got upset with Derek for killing his wife.

Shenkman will join the cast of Burn Notice as Tom Strickler, a freelance spy who is somehow able to offer Michael Westen a reprieve from his burn notice. As long as our favorite spy is willing to do an unnamed job. Right now Shenkman is set to appear in four episodes in the next season starting at about midway through.

OK, now we can go back to forgetting there is no new Burn Notice happening in the here and now. After all, who cares about the guest stars? This show doesn’t ever have to rely on stunt guest casting. Although I think that Westen might be one of the few guys on TV that could take on Jack Bauer and win…now that would be an interesting (if completely silly and unnecessary) episode of Burn Notice.
