Big Brother Season 15 Auditions Are Underway

Among the reality competition series that emerged near the start of the genre's fast rise to popularity is Big Brother, an elimination series that originated in the UK and has seen various adaptations around the world, more recently, Canada. The U.S. version of Big Brother is set to return for Season 15 this summer, and casting has begun. Think you can handle being quarantined for months with cameras on you day and night? Auditions for Big Brother have begun!

Hosted by Julie Chen, the series features a number of houseguests (usually twelve or more) who live in a house and compete in competitions for food and power within the house. Each week, the Head of Household nominates two houseguests for eviction. The Veto competition offers the opportunity for one of them to take themselves off the block, or to be saved by whoever wins it. And each week, the two nominated houseguests sit side by side for the live episode, when one of them will be sent out the door by their fellow houseguests. Other adaptations (and the original series) have the viewers voting to determine who goes home, but America's participation in CBS' version of the series is limited to luxuries and the occasional game twist.

With the houseguests left to decide who stays and who goes, the game becomes a true chess match, as alliances are formed and strategies are perfected. Last season saw four former houseguests returning as coaches, and eventually brought in to play the game. BB10 winner Dan Gheesling managed to make it to the Final Two, but he lost to BB enthusiast Ian in the end. What will Season 15's twist be? Will the houseguests all be strangers again? Or will we be seeing a returning houseguest or two, as we have in previous seasons? We probably won't learn about the twist until much closer to the show's premiere this June, but in the meantime, those who think they have what it takes for a shot at the $500,000 grand prize might want to check out the audition schedule below. Tryouts have already begun and are set to resume in a number of locations this weekend.
