Bob Barker has decided that a good retirement age is 83. The TV Host announced that he plans to retire from 'The Price Is Right' in June after 35 consecutive years as exuberant ringmaster. The gameshow is the longest-running game show on television, surpassing the 18 years of 'What's My Line.'

According to Reuters a new host has not been announced. The show, which Barker has hosted since 1972 on CBS, is planned to continue. Currently the show airs two half-hour editions, which are the second and third most watch programs on daytime television.

Barker, who began his television career on the popular NBC gameshow 'Truth or Consequences' said, One of the reasons for my retirement is it is a really demandin schedule for me at my age.". With no Rodd Roddy (who passed away three years ago this month) and now no Bob Barker, will 'The Price Is Right' be able to maintain dominance? Most likely since there's no end to the fun of watching people get excited over guessing the correct price of a bottle of Windex.
