I don’t know about you but I find those house-flipping shows on TLC and A&E to be strangely addicting. I don’t actively seek them out but when I do find an episode on TV while flipping through the channels, I find it difficult to turn it off. If there’s a marathon airing, consider my day lost. So I’m really interested to see what Bravo does with this new series they’ve picked up, tentatively titled Design Sixx.
Below is the information released by Bravo: “Husband and wife design team Cortney and Robert Novogratz have made it their business to seek out abandoned buildings across Manhattan. Their company, Sixx Design, has established an international reputation by taking those buildings and transforming them into multi-million dollar living spaces. But the Novogratz's are anything but your typical house-flippers. In addition to living in each of the homes they flip, the couple brings along their six children all under the age of 11 and Cortney is pregnant with a seventh child on the way. Life is chaotic for the family, but from chaos comes clarity with Cortney and Robert and their design team. Design Sixx (wt) is produced by Left/Right for Bravo. Ken Druckerman and Banks Tarver serve as executive producers.” As if the premise of a couple flipping old buildings in the city and turning them into luxury homes isn’t interesting enough, knowing they’re actually going to live in the homes with their six kids adds an extra twist to the scenario. |
