Britney Spears Tribute Episode Coming To Glee

Oops, they’re doing it again. With the success of the Madonna and Lady Gaga-themed episodes in its first season, it seems Glee is looking to make the concept work again in Season 2 with a Britney Spears episode.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Glee creator Ryan Murphy confirmed that they are writing a Britney Spears episode. Whether or not you ever were or still are a Spears fan, you have to admit, the girl’s got quite a collection of pop-hits that would definitely work in a Glee setting. Start speculating over who will sing what and in what context, now!

As for whether or not Spears will be making an appearance on Glee, according to E! Online’s Kristin Dos Santos, that’s doesn’t look like it’s going to happen. So no Spears for Season 2 but we will be getting a tribute episode to her music. And with Glee’s nineteen Emmy nominations, it seems likely that the show will be around for a while, so who knows what might happen in the future?
