CBS Orders A Twelfth Season Of Big Brother

If only George Orwell could see us now. With CBS’s reality hit about to wrap up its eleventh season next week, the network has announced that Big Brother will be back for season 12 next summer.

Big Brother has seen its viewership on the uptick this summer, and is CBS’s number one show on CBS.com, so it’s not terribly surprising that the show’s returning yet again. There hasn’t been any promotion for auditions for the new season, so could we be looking at another All-Stars installment? It hasn’t been done since the seventh season, so the concept could be ripe for a return. Start those rumors a’mongering.

Big Brother’s two-hour live season finale airs next Tuesday, September 15th on CBS.
